Tomorrow we have a very special event with Alice Procter. Alice is a Historian with a focus on the intersections of post colonial art practice and colonial material culture, settler storytelling, the concept of whiteness in the 18th and 19th centuries, the curation of historical trauma, and myths of national identity.

Alice is the founder of The Uncomfortable Art Tours in London which focus on how major institutions came into being against a backdrop of Imperialism.

Our book of the month is also written by Alice! ‘The Whole Picture: The Colonial Story of the Art in Our Museums & why We Need to Talk about it’. The book tackles questions regarding decolonising galleries, whether museums should give back objects and who has the right to hold these objects and tell these stories?
